Lotus Evora GT430 2018 Review, Interior, Engine Performance, Prices – Evora, Evora S, Evora 400, Evora Sport 410. A process of performance improvement, that of the Lotus Coupé, which has already crossed four stages and which now takes a step further, with the arrival of the variant gt430.

More horses, fewer pounds. The engine is always the same 3.5 V6 with volumetric compressor, but the power is increased (reaching 436 hp at 7,000 rpm, with a torque of 440 Nm at 4,500 rpm), while the weight was further reduced: Now the value marked on the scale is 1,258 kg, 26 less than the sport 410. Equipped with six-speed manual gearbox, the Lotus Evora GT430 2018 adopts a low inertia monomers flywheel and, always on the front of the transmission chain, a limited slip differential of type Torsen.
The basic performance. The new coupe, which will be assembled by hand in only 60 pieces, unearths that acronym “Gran Turismo” that was, in the years 90, of Esprit GT and GT3. A non-inappropriate quotation, according to the technical data sheet, which speaks of a 0-100 km/h from 3.8 seconds, and a maximum speed of 305 km/h.
Leap forward for aerodynamics. In addition to the increased power and weight cut (obtained with a wide use of carbon fibre, of which the finned engine bonnet and the Sparco-seat shells are also made), the improvement on the front of the aerodynamic deportation should also be highlighted. Now the value of downforce generated, thanks to the joint work of wing profiles and extractor reaches 250 kg at maximum speed and touches the value expressed by the Evora Sport 410 (64 kg) at only 145 km/h. Also noteworthy are the vents obtained in the rear bumper, which help to reduce the pressure in the wheel compartments.
New for suspension. The mechanical interventions also involved the frame: the Lotus Evora GT430 2018 adopts Öhlins shock absorbers TTX adjustable in compression and extension and lighter than 10 kg compared to those of the sport 410, the same savings guaranteed by the new titanium exhaust. Ultralight also the Eibach Springs, which complete the frame of the suspension compartment together with the new front and rear anti-roll bars.
The management electronics. Equipped with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires (from 245/35 R19 front, 295/30 R20 rear) and AP racing braking system with four-piston calipers, the lotus Evora GT430 2018 also adopts a driving mode management system that regulates the intervention of the ESP on four levels (drive, sport, race, off): In the last two the pilot can also modify the intensity of the traction control, on five levels (1%, 3%, 6%, 9%, 12%), or to turn it off altogether.
