2018 Peugeot 3008 Interior With airbags

From SUV, solid and comfortable, the 2018 Peugeot 3008 has become an SUV. And the image has earned us a lot. It shows, in particular, the test specimen, the exclusive GT version equipped only with the engine 2.0 BlueHDi from 181 hp combined with the automatic gearbox Eat6. The traction is front and, in the price list, there is only the optional advanced Grip control system, which includes M + s tires and downhill assistance.

Ultra-modern environment. The cockpit shows an almost futuristic style. The interiors have risen in tone, as you can see by observing the working of the plank, as well as the 8 “touch tablet. Then there is the instrument panel raised, i.e. the heads-up digital display from 12.3 “, configurable. We stay in the area, with the I-cockpit: It is an evolution of the 308, but with some difference. The steering wheel remains just 35 cm in diameter, but thanks to the crown flattened even at the top, now the instrumentation is seen well, even with the seat at the end of the race.

The size does not disturb. Leaving the garage is maneuvering well (it helps the Visiopark 360 °, optional, with a view from above) and the steering is light. By activating the wheel on the left race, the digital instrumentation changes appearance in a scenographic way. It can take the form of the double instrument or the simple digital speedometer. And you can customize it with the monitor menu for watching, for example, tachometer, computer board, and navigator. Which, in the specific setting, displays the map in large, in the center: a way not to distract. It’s not the Audi virtual cockpit, but it’s approaching. In traffic the SUV moves with ease: the size, in fact, still allows it. Selector in the drive, all easy: and, when needed, the kick down is quite responsive, and the gear changes are discreetly fluid. The result is better with the right soft foot; Driving in a hurry, instead, the answer is more abrupt. To switch to the manual there is the M key on the selector: then you can use the paddles. In doing so, the Eat6 proves quite fast, especially in sports.

2018 Peugeot 3008 Engine Specs and Performance

Driving dynamics. With the 2.0 turbo diesel 181 CV and 400 NM, the performance is assured. The couple is sturdy since the 1,500 laps and the cue always at the height of 1,770 kilos under test conditions. The progression, then, is good, but after the 4,200 laps, it is not better to insist. Sportsmanship is another thing, but on the road the 2018 Peugeot 3008 is pleasant. Maybe agility is not his forte in the mixed or transients, however, on the fast holds that it is a pleasure. The suspensions are particular: they have an excursion, but remain consistent, in fact, the SUV finds the support in a hurry. Only a few dry reactions are recorded on the short obstacles. On the front it weighs a sturdy couple: and the tendency to widen with the muzzle is there, around the corner, when it pushes. This means, however, that the French always warns those who guide, as we have verified in the tests on the track. The good performance, then, does not go at the expense of consumption: The Peugeot “drinks” less than many rivals, touching the 14 km/L in the city and making the 14.7 of media. Its ideal size remains the highway, thanks to the effective soundproofing (in front of the species), the good liveliness and the sixth cruise. And since it’s comfortable for four, the boot is calibrated right. Here the competition offers something more, at the level of the Cuban, but you can’t have it all.
