The Honda presented the 2018 Honda NSX GT3, the new competition model that will be offered to the private team in view of the season 2018. The car will be available starting from 465,000 euros and will be delivered directly by the Italian JAS Motorsport, who has cured the development and that will take care of the final assembly.
Production in Ohio, assembly in Italy. The Monoscocche and thrusters will be built in the American factory in Ohio where the road specimens of the NSX are also born. From here the components will be sent to Italy for assembly. Jas will also assist customers in Europe, Asia, and South America, while the American ones will be followed by the Honda Performance Development (HPD). Finally, Mugen will deal with the Japanese market.
2018 Honda NSX GT3 Specs
No hybrid for the GT3. In 2018 the NSX GT3 will be able to participate in the main FIA championships, including the Nürburgring 24 hours and the GT Blancpain Championship, but it will also be possible to enter the Pirelli World Challenge, the IMSA Sportscar series (where it has already won during the development period), the GT Asia Series and the Japanese Super GT and gt300. Compared to the standard model, the GT3 abandons the hybrid powertrain for a more traditional configuration with rear-wheel drive, sequential gearbox, and V6 3.5 Biturbo engine.
