2017 Hyundai Tucson 1.7 CRDi 115 HP Xpossible 2WD Review – Despite the aggressive front and bodywork “muscular”, the new Hyundai Tucson offers the best if driven unhurried: 116 CV of 1.7 CRDi fail to provide a good boost in recovery (especially in sixth) and the soft suspension (which isolate good from bumps in the road) does not invite to exaggerate when cornering with gas. The Interior, which in some elements reveals some economy too, welcomes five adults without difficulty: find ample space (thanks to an almost flat floor) as well who sits on the central part of the sofa. Not bad the trunk, although some rivals offer more space for suitcases. The budget is complete, especially in relation to the market price (quite competitive): the multimedia system and the camera are standard.. The Price of 2017 Hyundai Tucson 1.7 CRDi 115 HP Xpossible 2WD is around 27.950 Euro

2017 Hyundai Tucson 1.7 CRDi 115 HP Xpossible 2WD Preview – MORE ON COMFORT THAN ON PERFORMANCE

The Hyundai Tucson 2017 , which replaces replaces the ix35 (which is longer than 7 cm) has a nice look and not lacking in character: the impressive hexagonal grille (chrome on Xpossible) gives oomph to the front, while the deep lateral ribs convey an impression of solidity. The rear window, small and oblique, has a spoiler at the top. With 116 HP, 1.7 turbodiesel cannot work miracles, although shooting skills (unlike those of recovery) are not despicable. Traction is front: the four drive wheels are reserved for 2.0 CRDi and 1.6 petrol T-GDi. The steering is light and accurate, changing well maneuverable. The trial version is quite rich: in addition to the Navigator, are standard on the electronic key, the lane-keeping system, rear view camera, 17 ” alloy wheels. The spacious cockpit has smoothly five adults, too tall, and the cargo space is ample.

The dashboard and controls; In contrast to the elaborate forms of the bodywork, the look is simple and essential. Not all commands, however, are in the right place: the keys to the left of the steering wheel lead to look away from the road and those on the central tunnel (between the front seats) are a bit too much backlog. At the center of the console, in a visible position, there is the Navigator with the screen of 8 “(easy to read), which includes seven years of TomTom Live service with traffic information. The finishes are overall maintained, but there are some “oversight”: most of the dashboard and door panels are hard plastic and look quite cheap. The “living room” of the Hyundai 2017 Tucson is really welcoming: five adults, even of high stature, they’re comfy. Bagage; Cargo capacity is average for an suv in this class: the battery compartment is easily accessible, but due to the wheel arches, bulky soft bags Stow is easier than suitcases.

2017 Tucson Test Drive

In town

The raised driving position, which gives the impression of dominating the road instills confidence. We see little behind (rear window several tilted and the tiny triangular window that “cut” the rear pillar doesn’t help), but the light steering, remote sensors and camera (serial) facilitate the maneuvers. The soft suspension and tires from the hip high filter adequately pavé and Rails.

Off Road

The engine, not some sporty, and soft damper calibration does not invite to run: body roll when cornering and braking are pitching rather sensitive. In the Guide “allegra” the new Hyundai Tucson has predictable reactions progressive even borderline. Enjoyable: Steering: especially in Sports, auto configuration offers an always predictable behaviour.

On the highway

The car is comfortable even on long journeys: a 130 km/h, the engine “works” only 2350 rpm, and is not felt too. Consistently safe and powerful braking stability (the system has held up well to heavy use) are reassuring.

Pros and Cons New 2017 Hyundai Tucson

Pros

Comfort
The car goes on uneven without transmitting jolts, and the diesel engine has excessive noise (well filtered even rolling noise of tyres).
Good Multimedia
Is rich, considering the competitive price: includes valuable devices, such as the multimedia system and the camera. No shortage of solutions “smart” as the backrest of adjustable sofa.
Space
Even five adults traveling convenient: both front and rear seat passengers, centimeters.
Steering
Light in normal mode (dowry very appreciable in town), in sports acquires promptness and appreciable accuracy. All in all, a pretty successful electric actuator.

Cons

Commands
Some are to be reviewed: in an uncomfortable position (next to the gearbox) or hidden by the steering wheel. To operate it, you are likely to get distracted when driving.
Recovery
Especially in sixth gear, the car picks up with … “tranquility”. The boost of 1.7 turbodiesel is still noticeable even from 1200 RPM.
Coatings
The hard plastic of the door panels and parts of the bridge looks a bit too cheap for car type.
Visibility
Penalized by big rear pillars and rear window (small and inclined). The distance sensors and IR night vision as standard, but they help a lot.
